Bechtel has teamed with Herzog Contracting Corp. (Herzog) in association with designer AECOM to create a design-build team that will accomplish all of RTD’s goals for the North Metro Rail Line project, as well as the goals and needs of other stakeholders.

Herzog
Herzog was founded in 1969, primarily for asphalt paving and airport construction in the Midwest. Herzog specializes in railroad construction, transit services, civil construction and railroad services nationwide. Similar projects constructed include the RTD West Rail Line CM/GC, Rail Runner Design-Build, Mid Jordan Design Build, and UTA Gateway Intermodal Hub CM/GC.
Herzog has been the recipient of numerous safety awards, including the prestigious “Outstanding Safety Performance” designation from many of their project owners. Herzog’s top level commitment to the safety of their employees, customers and the communities in which they serve, has resulted in a more cost effective and competitive organization. Their EMR is .37, one of the lowest in the their industry.
